Besides Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, Pharnext has developed a patented pipeline of PleodrugsTM on several severe neurological diseases (including Alzheimer's disease by entering in Man by 2012) and is extending it to the major unmet needs in human pathologies worldwide such as type II Diabetes. A technology with a such borad application might be emphasized.

• CMT-1A (Charcot-Marie-Tooth type 1A): the Pleolead PXT03003 is selected and entered into phase II clinical trial in December 2010 (press release).
• Alzheimer's disease: ongoing R&D collaborative project (called DIPPAL) granted by the French governmental agency OSEO/ISI (press release). A lead is expected by end 2011.
• Diabetes type II: drug candidates are identified and ready to be screened.

A corresponding patents portfolio is managed.
